Everything is converging to the three pillars of new commerce: Hyperlocal, Mobile and Deals. Venerable brand Valpak, a coupon and deals company for over 40 years, is evolving its well-honed direct marketing strategy of connecting local merchants with local consumers to be at the forefront of this convergence. Having recently announced a loyalty program, Valpak is testing new mobile and deals strategies around that program within specific markets. In this session, we will explore that evolution, and how brands can learn from Valpak’s hard won lessons in keeping and expanding its merchant and customer base in the face of the “Groupon” onslaught.
